Golden Daylily is a special variety of Camellia Sinensis developed through research at the Taiwan Tea Agricultural Research Centre in the 1980s. This variety is the end result of nearly four decades of cross-breeding of several Taiwanese varietals to yield a tea that is distinct in character from traditional varietals. It is different from most other oolongs in that it is only slightly oxidized. You may find the colour of the tea atypically light with a yellowish green hue. This Taiwanese tea gives a sweet floral flavour with a delicate creamy undercurrent.
